But there is more. We have been supporting Godot financially since July 2022. We have now decided to increase our support to 1500$/month, effectively redirecting the value of our Unity licenses to Godot. Our engineers will also contribute to the development of the engine, as we pursue our next and future projects in Godot.

Godot and FNA will receive $100k each, and Re-Logic will also continue sponsoring both with a further $1k per month. “All we ask in return is that they remain good people and keep doing all that they can to make these engines powerful and approachable for developers everywhere,” said Re-Logic.
John Grisham, other top US authors sue OpenAI over copyrights
A trade group for U.S. authors has sued OpenAI in Manhattan federal court on behalf of prominent writers including John Grisham, Jonathan Franzen, George Saunders, Jodi Picoult and “Game of Thrones” novelist George R.R. Martin, accusing the company of unlawfully training its popular artificial-intelligence based chatbot ChatGPT on their work.
Google data center pioneer Luiz André Barroso passes away
Aged 59, Barroso joined Google in 2001 and was responsible for overhauling the company’s data center design, fundamentally changing the wider industry. Prior to joining Google, he worked at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) designing the first multi-core CPU.
WhisperFrame Depicts The Art Of Conversation
Essentially, it uses a Raspberry Pi and a Respeaker four-mic array to listen to conversations in the room. It listens and records 15-20 seconds of audio, and sends that to the OpenWhisper API to generate a transcript. This repeats until five minutes of audio is collected, then the entire transcript is sent through GPT-4 to extract an image prompt from a single topic in the conversation. Then, that prompt is shipped off to Stable Diffusion to get an image to be displayed on the screen. As you can imagine, the images generated run the gamut from really weird to really awesome.
Amazon to Run Ads on Prime Video in Key Markets Starting in 2024
Amazon said Prime subscribers will continue to pay $139 annually in the US but will be able to pay an additional $2.99 a month to avoid ads. Pricing in other countries will be announced later, the company said.
